One of the biggest trends of the season is velvet. The very luxurious and deliciously soft fabric has gained a prominent place in the collection of all major designers. It was seen in the form of every wardrobe essential, from dresses and trousers to bags and shoes. While the textured fabric adds a luxe detail to any outfit, it also adds a fresh feel to classic shoe styles like ankle boots.
The colors in which you will see the fabric are bordeaux, dark blue, emerald green, purple, dusty pink and black. You can embrace the velvet trend in many different ways, from wearing just a velvet accessory to wearing velvet on velvet. As velvet already has such a chic and luxurious appearance of itself, just remember simplicity is the key. It's important to choose one color palette. Velvet is a very striking substance, which means that different shades in one outfit quickly feel like 'too much'.
I've choosen to show you romantic velvet look that is very suitable for work. I'm wearing three velvet items in the same color palet dusty pink. I didn't wanted to be too sweet so I combined it with a (fake) leather skirt and a pantyhose with sexy detail.
